Level 1 - Good Dog Manners 101
Good Dog Manners is more than dog training; it’s relationship building. We teach you how to start a great working relationship “with” your dog. This class is open to all ages because regardless of age the fundamentals of Good Dog Manners apply. We have been told that our beginner program is very detailed and goes far beyond other beginner training programs.

Good Dog Manners 101 Overview

  • Week 1 – How dogs learn, think and establishing leadership and building attention and focus using the “Name Game”
  • Week 2 – Leash Manners and moving attention and focus
  • Week 3 – Get your dog to come to you in even the toughest situations
  • Week 4 – Sit and how to train your dog so they understand to sit the first time you say it and hold it until released
  • Week 5 – Down and how to train your dog so they understand the difference between lay down and the floor and stop jumping on you
  • Week 6 – Putting it all together and review of the first 5 weeks of learning
  • Week 7 – Individual critique and progress report along with recommended level 2 classes
From the first week to the final week you’ll see a marked difference in your dog and the others in class. It’s so fun to see the transition as everyone in class applies the class lessons to real life and have a better dog for it!
 
Our Good Dog Manners class is limited to 10 dogs in a large training room with 2 instructors. Everyone is comfortable and gets plenty of help with training exercises.
